Renée Feldman B.S.,M.A. is an Exercise Physiologist who was one of the first personal trainers in the United States. She received her Bachelors degree in exercise science from Rutgers College and her Masters degree in exercise physiology from Adelphi University. She is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine
Solid Background
Renée's education in exercise science gives her a solid foundation in understanding the human bodies response to exercise. Her graduate work focused on cardiac rehabilitation where she interned at St. John's hospital in Smithtown, N.Y. She worked in several fitness facilities that focused on the needs of specific populations (cardiac patients, diabetics, seniors and people that are obese). In addition to working with special populations, Renée has worked in Corporate fitness facilities teaching classes, creating programs and performing exercise testing.
Fitness For Everyone
Renée has formulated exercise programs for thousands of people ranging in age from 13 to 90. She's worked in numerous clubs, including some that she helped open.
 Bodybuilder
Renée trained for 6 years as a competitive bodybuilder, earning titles such as Ms. Rutgers and Ms. Metropolitan (NPC National Qualifier). She trained in "hard core" gyms surrounded by many professional and Olympic athletes. Her years of working out in these facilities has provided her with a tremendous assortment of exercise routines.
Dancing
When Renée finally stopped bodybuilding competitively, she resumed her love of dance by taking LOTS of classes in New York City. She eventually went on to perform with the Coors Lite Dancers and taught funk to children at an assortment of dancing schools, Y.M.C.A.'s and J.C.C.'s.
Lecturer
With an extensive array of knowledge in the field of movement, Renée has lectured in many businesses, schools, churches and synagogues.
Meditation and Guided Visualization
Renée was fortunate enough to under go 2 years of intense training in
meditation, starting at the young age of 16. She has since continued this
discipline and taught it to others as well as making recordings to help people
reach their full potential.
Renée’s Experience in Meditation and Guided Visualization
The gift of guided visualization and meditation entered Renée’s life at the young age of 16. This is when she began studying with a Master teacher once a week for over 2 years. After this, she pursued studying the metaphysical arts by taking many workshops and classes and refined her skills as both a student and teacher of guided visualization. This skill helped her immensely as a competitive bodybuilder, dancer and instructor in health and fitness. She is especially noted by her clients for her soothing and rhythmic voice.
Certifications
Renée is proudly certified by the American College of Sports Medicine, which is known to be the Gold Standard of Fitness. She also has a yoga certification and is C.P.R. certified. Her other certifications include "Functional Fitness for Older Adult Training" (County of San Diego) |
